Ginza remains the premier shopping destination for both inbound and domestic tourists in Japan, with Chuo Dori as the most prestigious retail street at its heart. While one continues to find many of Tokyo’s original department stores still thrive there, the area now offers a vibrant mix of retailers, galleries, and restaurants. We will visit several retail properties in Ginza, and learn about how the area has transformed over the last few decades and how it may have to evolve in the future to continue meeting visitors’ expectations.

Meeting point: Private Dining Room in NAMIKI 667 at 3F of Hyatt Centric Ginza
