Dr Tim Forman, a recognised expert in sustainable design and construction, is a technical partner and co-founder at Undivided Ventures. Tim spearheads Undivided’s impact strategy and technical assessment, leveraging his expertise and experience in driving sustainable practices in industry.
In addition to his role at Undivided Ventures, Tim holds an academic position at the University of Cambridge, where he is Senior Teaching Associate and Director of Studies at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and leads postgraduate education for built environment practitioners and sustainability professionals and previously served as a senior researcher. Tim’s research and industry consulting background spans architecture, construction and engineering, with a focus on energy efficiency retrofitting and sustainable design. Before co-founding Undivided Ventures and joining CISL at Cambridge, Tim researched and taught at the Department of Engineering at Cambridge and on numerous postgraduate courses in sustainable built environment practice at leading universities. Tim has produced and reviewed important scientific publications, contributed to prestigious national and international conferences and scholarly associations, and participated in numerous industry working groups and reform and debate activities.
Tim is a passionate advocate for disruptive innovation and a radical overhaul of practice and norms to achieve a transition to sustainability and resilience in the built environment sector. His work at Undivided Ventures is driven by a firm belief in the transformative power of finance and innovation in creating profitable and planet- and people-positive futures for buildings and infrastructure.
