Mr. Lawler is CEO of Hines' Asia Pacific Region and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. In his role, he oversees all development, acquisitions and operations activities across the region. Prior to joining Hines in 2007, he was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps and a Naval Aviator, receiving multiple commendations throughout his career.
Lawler graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Marine Biology from Boston University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a member of YPO Hong Kong and is a ULI Global Governing Trustee.

ULI Hines Student Competition Asia Pacific
Designed to raise interest among young people in creating better communities and improving urban development patterns, the ULI Hines Student Competiton Asia Pacific encourages cooperation and teamwork among future land-use professionals. Teams of university students were invited to devise a comprehensive design and proposal for a real-world urban site in Tokyo reflecting responsible use of land.
