Mr. Akihiro Kitagawa

Born in Japan and raised in China, Akihiro started his career at The Boston Consulting Group where he was involved in lobbying projects and new business planning projects for pharmaceutical and insurance companies. Upon Japan's establishment of new home-sharing laws, he joined Expedia to launch their alternative lodging brand, VRBO (formerly HomeAway.) Since 2020, Akihiro and his co-founders have been expanding Japan's most unique apartment-hotel brand, SECTION L. Akihiro holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University.
