Dr. Kelvin Wong

Head of China, Real Estate Schroders Capital

Dr. Kelvin Wong is Head of China Real Estate at Schroders Capital, the private market investment division of Schroders Group plc, the global asset manager. He is responsible for the overall investment, operation and asset management, investor relations and business development of Schroders Capital’s real estate team in mainland China. Schroders Capital offers investors a local approach to investing across a diversified range of private asset strategies, supported by a global perspective and the long-established Schroders business. Kelvin joined Schroders Group in 2020, following the firm’s merger with Pamfleet established in 2000, where he was a Managing Director and Principal covered mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore markets. Prior to joining Pamfleet in 2004, Kelvin was a Senior Manager in his last role with Colliers International (2000-2004), responsible for corporate services, commercial leasing and capital market, and property project marketing in Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou. Kelvin has over 25 years of extensive experience in deal sourcing, asset management, property financing, and disposal across key markets in Asia. Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning (minor in Economic) (1999) from Ryerson Polytechnic University (now Toronto Metropolitan University) in Canada, as well as Master of Science in International Real Estate (IRE - 2004), and Doctor of International Real Estate and Construction (DIREC - 2023) degrees from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Kelvin is Type 1 and 4 licensed under Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). He is the designated AML Compliance Officer and Responsible Officer (RO), who is also the Compliance, Anti-money Laundering & Counter-Terrorist Financing Manager In-Charge (MIC) of the company, a HK SFC licensed corporation. He is currently East China Chair (since 2023), China Management Committee member, Asia Pacific Executive Committee member and Global Governance Trustee of Urban Land Institute (ULI).
