Tan Chun Meng has over 17 years of real estate experience covering investment, asset management, financing, private equity and hospitality. He is responsible for investment and management of assets for Ascott Serviced Residence Global Fund (ASRGF), a US$600 million serviced residence joint-venture fund with the Qatar Investment Authority, and CapitaLand Ascott Residence Asia Fund II (CLARA II), the follow-on fund to ASRGF and CLI’s second private fund that focuses on serviced residence and coliving assets.
Prior to this, he was at Frasers Hospitality from 2014 to 2019. His responsibilities included securing management contracts and investments in North Asia. From 2011- 2014, he was driving the development and distribution of real estate structured financing solutions to credit worthy real estate clients and monitoring of loan portfolios across the Asia-Pacific region at Mizuho Bank.
He started his career with Mapletree, under the Mapletree India China Fund, where he built his experience in real estate investment and fund management. He was based in Shanghai and focused on sourcing investment opportunities in Central China.
Chun Meng holds a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
