Chie Kawase is an executive director at PGIM Private Alternatives and a member of the Asia Pacific Business Development team serving institutional investors in Japan. Based in Tokyo, Chie is responsible for client relationship management and capital raising across the PGIM Private Alternatives platform.
As part of the PFI and PGIM families, PGIM Private Alternatives comprises PGIM Real Estate, PGIM Private Capital and Montana Capital Partners (mcp).
PGIM Private Alternatives provides clients with seamless access to a comprehensive set of investment and financing solutions across private credit, real estate, agriculture, sustainable investing, infrastructure and private equity.
Before joining PGIM, Chie was chief investment officer at GLP J-REIT, one of the largest Japanese listed industrial REITs and responsible for portfolio management, asset management and transactions. She also played a key role in initial public offering of the REIT in 2012 and 6 follow-on equity offerings since then.
Prior to that, Chie was responsible for launching a global brand and developing new products in Japan at several global companies. She started her career as business analyst at A.T. Kearney where she was engaged in various consulting projects.
Chie has a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Tokyo and master of business administration from INSEAD in France.
