Concurrent Session

Anchored by Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta Economic Region (YRDER) has undergone spectacular growth over the last decade, boosted by rapid buildout of local high-speed rail networks and extensive new highway and airport infrastructure. With cities like Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Nanjing emerging as tech powerhouses, YRDER now comprises some 20% of the nation’s GDP and one-third of its imports and exports. In this session, a panel consisting of leading regional developers and academics will analyse investment opportunities in key regional cities and discuss the most important drivers of past and future growth in light of planned new infrastructure and regional integration policies.
