M+: Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK)

An exclusive opportunity for members: A behind-the-scenes visit to M+, one of the largest museums of contemporary visual culture in the world. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron in partnership with TFP Farrells and Arup, the museum building is composed of a podium and a slender tower that fuse into the shape of an upside-down ‘T’. The expansive podium cantilevers above ground and includes 17,000 square metres of exhibition space across thirty-three galleries, three cinema houses, the Mediatheque, Learning Hub, and Roof Garden that faces Victoria Harbour. Meet the people behind this iconic landmark in Hong Kong, learn how it was built, the strategy behind it and WestK, and M+’s role in transforming and defining Hong Kong’s culture-scape since its opening in 2021 and in the coming years.
