Michael is the Chairman and CEO of Transpacific Enterprises, a communications and business matching firm in its 24th year of business in Japan. The company serves around 100 clients primarily in the real estate and finance fields
During his 14-year tenure as Executive Director of ULI Japan, Michael has helped guide the formation of ULI Japan into a truly multinational organization of real estate professionals and leaders. Membership has solidified under his leadership and ULI Japan is entering its 21st year of spreading best practices and building a sound industry.
For the past five years, Michael has acted as a Central Committee Member for the Future Environmental Cities Program of the Cabinet Office in Japan, where he has helped guide recovery efforts for Higashi Matsushima City and Minami Soma and also advised the city of Yokohama on its efforts to build a robust city of the future.
Over the past year, he has served as a core member of a Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry working group tasked to create plans for transforming Japanese resort destinations into true global standard destinations.
