Kenneth Rhee is the CEO of Huhan Business Advisory whose main business is advising real estate developers and investment funds on investment opportunities in mainland China. He also serves as the Chief Representative of Urban Land Institute (ULI) in mainland China.
Prior to establishing Huhan Business Advisory, Ken worked for Morgan Stanley between 2006 and 2011, initially as Vice President and later as Executive Director. At Morgan Stanley, he played key roles in the successful capital raising assignments such as the IPO and subsequent bonding offering by Shimao Property and Shanghai Real Estate’s bond offering and also played key roles in a series of investments including pre-IPO investments in leading developers and hard asset acquisitions. Ken’s previous work experiences also include heading up investment operation at Shanghai Dragon Investment, an investment arm of the Shanghai Municipal Government and doing M&A advisory work at JP Morgan based in Hong Kong and Singapore between 1998 and 2002. Ken has authored or co-authored a number of ULI publications including annual ULI China Mainland China Real Estate Market Survey reports and ULI case studies.
Ken graduated from University of California, Los Angeles, with a BA in economics and business in 1991 and also graduated from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business with an MBA in 1998.
