Director, Asia Pacific Risk Center

Jonathan Tan is a Director in Marsh & McLennan’s Asia Pacific Risk Center based in Singapore, and combines  strategic research and analytics to maximize product commercialization success. He currently leads the Center’s research on the risk associated with societal ageing. This includes:

  • The impact to healthcare systems, in terms of the growing burden on financing sources and infrastructure capacity
  • Affordability and sustainability of insurance models and  pensions systems
  • Macro, fiscal, and corporate risk of an ageing workforce

Previously, Jonathan was the Head of Health Economics & Outcomes Research for Asia-Pacific a pharmaceutical MNC. Here he worked with affiliates across the Asia-Pacific region to develop and execute access strategies to maximize market uptake potential, secure government funding, and thought leader advocacy. In this role he represented APAC on global product development teams, contributing to the overall strategy and Phase II/III study designs, ensuring APAC market access needs were incorporated in global R&D programs. Prior to this, Jonathan was a project leader at an international health economics consultancy based in Australia serving the pharmaceutical and government sector.

Jonathan holds a PhD in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from The National University of Singapore, and an MBA from The University of Newcastle (Australia).
