Blake Olafson has spent the last 25 years in the real estate industry covering all aspects of the direct investment process: origination, underwriting, risk control, and the creation of unique deal structures and exits. He currently is the managing partner of Asia Capital Real Estate, a private equity firm that he founded in 2013. ACRE currently has approximately $500 milllion USD of AUM, focused on multifamily investments in the USA. Prior to ACRE, Blake was the former Head of Asian Real Estate at Arcapita, responsible for its $1.8 Billion Asian Real Estate portfolio. Blake was also a SVP at Lehman Brothers where he was a senior member of the team responsible for principal real estate investments in Asia. Blake is the former Chairman, Urban Land Institute (ULI), Singapore, and is a current Global Trustee of the ULI. Blake studied real estate at the University of Western Ontario (BA Hons) and followed on with a Masters in Real Estate Development from University of Southern California.
